23 tracks of John Wolohan and his Orchestra. John was active in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1920 -1965. He was leader and pianist of his band at the El Patio ballroom, on the corner of Market and Van Ness, (the largest on the West coast) from 1927 on. The CD includes a bonus recording of John's live piano mash-ups of classical and popular tines which he called Coexistences. These comprising, for instance Claire de Lune and Blue Moon arranged and played simultaneously. On track 23 after transferring so many of his songs form acetates, Reel to Reel tapes, and LP's, I spontaneously wrote and overdubbed the song "America's In Love". - SeanSmuda
